L’ARTE E IL TORCHIO / ART AND THE PRINTING PRESS 2015
8th International Engraving Exhibition - Cremona, Italy
From September 27th to November 1st 2015, near the Cultural Center of “Santa Maria della Pietà” of Cremona, and at the Printing Museum of Soncino (CR), will be held the 8th International Engraving Exhibition “L’Arte e il Torchio / Art and the Printing Press”. The Biennial, exclusively to invitation, curated by Vladimiro Elvieri, together with an International Scientific Committee, is organized with the contribution and patronage of the Municipality of Cremona, the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and the contribution of private sponsor. In Cremona, it will be presented the following 2 shows: “Engraving in Europe”, reserved to some of the most important contemporary graphic artists representatives of the 28 countries of the European Union, with around 140 prints of middle and great format, and “Italian Engraving Under 36” with 40 prints of young engravers coming from various Italian regions. In Soncino, curated by the AIE Association, it will be open the show “To Feed the Body, to Feed the Mind” a collection (120 works) of ex libris and small graphic of Italian and foreign artists, inspired to the theme of EXPO Milan 2015. A didactic laboratory will be active in Cremona for the visitors and students for theoretical and practical lessons on the printmaking and artists’ video. General color catalog (Italian-English).
